Togo: 2023, the year that confirmed Faure Gnassingbé’s country in the concert of nations

The year 2023 in Togo ended in the stability and peace advocated by the Head of State, Faure Gnassingbé, and which he is striving to preserve. The Togolese President and his team have made efforts on both sides for the betterment of the Togolese people.

Social inclusion, health insurance for all, construction of basic socio-economic infrastructure (roads, health centres, schools), access to health services for the Togolese people, and so on. Political, educational and economic reforms are also on the agenda.

The reform of health insurance for all, which came as a “gift”, confirmed Faure Gnassingbé’s commitment to the social cause of the Togolese people: enabling all the sons and daughters of the country to have equitable access to quality health services.

On the other hand, road infrastructure has opened up certain areas, enabling people to carry out their commercial activities, especially in rural areas.

In terms of security, the country has strengthened the resilience of the populations in the north of the country, who are confronted with violent extremism and terrorism.

Thanks to a well-equipped Togolese army, Togo has also put an end to terrorist threats in this part of the country.

Overall, 2023 was a year of great political, economic, social, diplomatic and international achievements.

And, most importantly, 2023 revealed, or rather confirmed, Togo to the whole world and most importantly, Togo as a country of peace under the leadership of its president, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

This exceptional leadership, which everyone recognises in President Faure Gnassingbé, has helped to maintain peace and stability in the sub-region, which has been shaken by political crises.

Open to dialogue and negotiation, Faure Gnassingbé’s foreign policy, skilfully managed by Foreign Minister Robert Dussey, has confirmed the country’s place in the concert of nations.
