Burkina Faso / Under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré: A new rural electrification strategy for the well-being of the population

In a significant move to enhance the well-being of its citizens, Burkina Faso, under the leadership of President Ibrahim Traoré, is witnessing notable positive changes.

The latest cabinet meeting on Wednesday marked a critical milestone with the adoption of a decree to implement an ambitious rural electrification strategy.

This initiative aims to achieve a rural electrification rate of 50% by 2028, a major step forward in bridging the gap between rural and urban areas.

Rural electrification is a crucial issue for the economic and social development of Burkina Faso.

Currently, the country faces a significant disparity between urban and rural electrification rates.

Rural areas, where a large portion of the population resides, often suffer from limited access to electricity, hindering their development.

The new decree adopted by the Burkinabe government aims to reorganize electrification in rural centers, providing a sustainable solution to this issue.

The rural electrification strategy set by the government outlines several key objectives: increasing the rural electrification rate to 50% by 2028, reducing disparities between urban and rural areas, and promoting economic and social development.

Implementing this rural electrification strategy will bring numerous benefits to Burkina Faso, including improved quality of life, local economic development, and strengthened basic services.

Through this initiative, President Ibrahim Traoré and his government demonstrate their commitment to working towards the harmonious and inclusive development of Burkina Faso.
