Vincent Aboubakar shines as second-highest scorer in Turkish Super Lig for 2023

As the 2023 calendar year comes to a close, the Super Lig has unveiled its ranking of the top goal-scorers, with Cameroonian striker Vincent Aboubakar making the list. Joining Besiktas in January of the previous year, Aboubakar swiftly established himself as one of the standout signings of the season in Turkey, showcasing remarkable performances.

Despite facing periods of absence due to injuries, the captain of the Indomitable Lions managed to net 17 goals, securing his position among the top goal-scorers in Turkey for the 2023 calendar year.

A Valuable Acquisition for Besiktas Vincent Aboubakar has proven to be a crucial asset for Besiktas this season.

The 31-year-old player has consistently piled on the goals, significantly contributing to his team’s successes.

 His on-field presence has been instrumental for Besiktas, and he has demonstrated his decisive impact on numerous occasions.

However, despite his contributions, the club decided to sideline him, citing insufficient performances—an decision that stirred strong reactions.

Claiming the top spot is the Argentine Mauro Icardi, who scored a total of 30 goals. Vincent Aboubakar secures the second position with 17 goals, sharing the spot with Mame Thiam.

The third positions are occupied by Mbaye Diagne and Enner Valencia, each with 16 goals.
