The Togolese Head of State commemorates the 10th Anniversary of the National Inclusive Finance Fund (FNFI)

In a momentous celebration at the Kégué Stadium in Lomé, the President of Togo participated in honoring the 10th anniversary of the National Inclusive Finance Fund (FNFI). Nearly 50,000 delegates gathered to mark this significant event and applaud the remarkable achievements of this initiative under the leadership of His Excellency Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

Launched in 2014, the FNFI has been a major catalyst for financial inclusion in Togo.

Over the past decade, it has transformed the lives of nearly 2 million people from all walks of life, providing them with access to financial services.

This impressive figure attests to the government’s resolute commitment to eliminating barriers that hinder the economic and social participation of vulnerable communities.

The palpable enthusiasm in the Kégué Stadium stands reflected gratitude and recognition for President Gnassingbé’s visionary leadership in promoting inclusive finance.

The warm cheers underscored the positive evolution of financial products offered by the FNFI and the transformative impact of these credits on the empowerment of beneficiaries, especially women.

Indeed, financial inclusion plays a crucial role in promoting the economic empowerment of women and reducing gender inequalities.

The loans granted by the FNFI have enabled Togolese women to realize their entrepreneurial aspirations, invest in their families and communities, and become agents of positive change in society.

As Togo celebrates a decade of progress and success with the FNFI, the commitment to financial inclusion remains steadfast.

The government will continue to work towards expanding access to financial services for those who need it most, thereby strengthening the foundations of an inclusive and sustainable economy for all Togolese citizens.
