Borussia Dortmund joins race for Togolese striker Kevin Denkey amid prolific season with Cercle Bruges

Borussia Dortmund has entered the race to sign the prolific Togolese striker Kevin Denkey, who has been in outstanding form for Cercle Bruges in the Belgian league.

The 23-year-old, formerly of Nîmes Olympique, is having a stellar season, scoring an impressive 22 goals in 26 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League, where he currently leads the goal-scoring charts.

Denkey’s remarkable performances have attracted interest from various European clubs, including Lille, Olympique Lyonnais, Stade Rennais, and RC Lens.

According to reports from Foot Mercato, Borussia Dortmund is particularly keen on acquiring Denkey, recognizing his significant potential and aiming to strengthen their attacking line with the Togolese forward.

However, Tottenham is also in the mix, closely monitoring Denkey’s performances and sending scouts to watch him throughout the season.

Both Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham are considered strong contenders for Denkey’s signature, with Cercle Bruges reportedly setting a price of €20 million for the striker as the end of the season and the summer transfer window approach.
