Kelechi Iheanacho endorses Finidi George as Potential Super Eagles Coach after victory over Ghana

Kelechi Iheanacho sees Finidi George as the right candidate to lead the Super Eagles’ bench. Appointed as interim coach following Jose Peseiro’s departure, Finidi made his debut on Friday, March 22, with a victory.

The Super Eagles defeated the Ghana Black Stars 2-1 in a friendly match held in Marrakech, Morocco, showcasing Finidi’s potential.

This success has fueled Iheanacho’s belief in Finidi’s capabilities for the role, especially since Nigeria had not beaten Ghana in 18 years.

«The coach (Finidi) did an excellent job. I hope he will have more opportunities with the team. He has little time left to work with us. For now, he’s the only one», Iheanacho stated after the match.

Coach Finidi aims to guide the Super Eagles to another victory against Mali on Tuesday, March 26, in their second friendly match during this March break.
