Megan Thee Stallion faces lawsuit alleging Workplace hostility and unpaid wages
Megan Thee Stallion is facing allegations of creating an “intolerable” work environment and unpaid wages from her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles.
According to the lawsuit, Garcia claims that Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, made inappropriate comments about his weight during a trip to Ibiza in 2022, telling him to spit out his food and criticizing his eating habits.
He also alleges that he was trapped in a moving car with Megan while she had sex «right beside» him during the same trip, which left him feeling “embarrassed, mortified, and offended.”
The legal documents further detail Garcia’s claims of changes to his contract that led to unpaid wages, as he was paid “per task” instead of a monthly rate, resulting in significantly lower earnings.
He also alleges that his role was misclassified as an independent contractor, causing him to miss out on healthcare benefits.
Garcia contends that his complaints about wage and hour violations led to reduced work assignments and ultimately, termination from Megan’s team in June of the following year, allegedly in retaliation for his grievances.
Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers responded to the lawsuit, calling it an “employment claim for money with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations.” They stated that they would address the matter in court.
Roc Nation, Megan’s management company, is also named in the lawsuit but has not yet commented on the allegations.
