England falls to Iceland 1-0 in Euro 2024 Warm-up at Wembley

In a Euro 2024 warm-up match at Wembley Stadium, England fell to a 1-0 defeat against Iceland on Friday evening.

Iceland took an early lead in the 12th minute with a well-placed shot from Thorsteinsson, which beat goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, England struggled to find the net, managing only one shot on target out of 11 attempts.

Gareth Southgate’s side, featuring key players like Harry Kane and Phil Foden, failed to break through Iceland’s solid defense.

This loss is a setback for England as they prepare for the European Championship in Germany, starting on June 14.

England previously secured a 3-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in an earlier friendly on June 3.
