In the fourth match of the Euro 2024 round of 16, Spain faced Georgia on Sunday evening. In a highly animated match, La Roja emerged victorious, despite a challenging start.

From the kickoff, Spain pressured their opponents, achieving up to 90% possession in the first quarter-hour.

However, a quick Georgian counter-attack led to an own goal by Robin Le Normand (0-1, 18’).

Sticking to their game plan, the Spaniards equalized through a powerful shot by Rodri before halftime (1-1, 39’).

In the second half, Spain continued to dominate. Lamine Yamal delivered a perfect cross to Fabian Ruiz, who scored with a close-range header (2-1, 51’).

Nico Williams extended the lead with a powerful shot under the bar (3-1, 75’), and Dani Olmo, coming off the bench, added a fourth with a delicate left-footed finish (4-1, 83’). The score remained unchanged until the final whistle.
