Paris 2024 Olympics: U.S. and China dominate as France finishes 5th in medal rankings

The Paris 2024 Olympics, which officially kicked off on July 26, concluded this Sunday after two weeks of intense competition.

 

The final medal standings have been revealed, showcasing the nations that excelled the most.

 

The 2024 Games lived up to their high expectations, from the spectacular opening ceremony to the thrilling conclusion on Sunday night. Athletes across various disciplines delivered outstanding performances, keeping the global sports community on the edge of their seats.

 

As expected, France, the host nation, performed admirably but fell short of breaking into the top three.

 

 

Les Bleus finished in 5th place, earning a total of 64 medals, including 16 golds.

 

At the top of the rankings, the United States and China ended in a near tie. Both countries secured 40 gold medals each, but the U.S. edged out China for the top spot by winning more silver and bronze medals.
