Manuel Neuer to retire from International Football after Euro 2024, ending an era for Germany

Manuel Neuer has officially announced that he will retire from international football after Euro 2024, marking the end of an illustrious era for the German national team.

This announcement adds to a growing list of high-profile retirements within the German squad, following the exits of Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller, and Ilkay Gundogan.

Neuer, now 38, first donned the national jersey in 2009 and has since become one of the sport’s most iconic goalkeepers.

Over his 15-year career with Germany, he has earned 124 caps and was a pivotal figure in their 2014 World Cup triumph.

With Neuer’s departure, German football bids farewell to a true legend of the game.
