Burkina Faso/National security: The authorities are stepping up their efforts to provide adequate resources to meet security challenges

In response to the complex security challenges, Burkina Faso’s authorities are intensifying efforts to strengthen their capabilities and enhance national security. The establishment of a training and maintenance center dedicated to the remote piloting of civilian drones is a clear reflection of this ongoing commitment to bolstering security measures, especially in the fight against terrorism and other threats.

On Thursday, September 26, the Minister of Security, Police Commissioner Mahamadou SANA, officially inaugurated the state-of-the-art facility.

Equipped with a wide range of specialized tools, the center will offer both theoretical and practical training to the country’s Internal Security Forces (ISF), enabling them to effectively utilize drones in addressing complex security challenges.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at boosting the operational capabilities of the ISF, ensuring more comprehensive surveillance across national territory.

It is particularly crucial at a time when malicious groups are actively seeking to destabilize the state and undermine efforts to maintain sovereignty and peace.

The inauguration of this center once again demonstrates the commitment and determination of Burkina Faso’s leadership, under the guidance of President Ibrahim TRAORE, to safeguard both people and property throughout the country, while standing firm against the nation’s enemies.
