Togo: Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, the government reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of the population

Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, the Togolese government has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its citizens. During a Council of Ministers meeting, the government approved a revised 2024 Finance Bill, reflecting an upward adjustment in the national budget.

The new budget stands at 2,250.6 billion FCFA, an increase of 71.4 billion FCFA from the initial 2,179.2 billion FCFA, marking a strategic 3.3% rise.

This budgetary revision emphasizes transparency and fiscal integrity, addressing the need to recalibrate economic forecasts while reallocating savings to urgent priorities.

The additional resources will bolster the implementation of development policies aligned with the 2025 Roadmap, a strategic framework aimed at accelerating economic growth and enhancing the living standards of the Togolese population.

Moreover, the updated budget underscores a resolute focus on strengthening national security, particularly in combating terrorism, a critical challenge for ensuring the country’s stability.

This proactive approach reflects President Faure Gnassingbé’s unwavering dedication to tackling emerging challenges, advancing structural reforms, and centering the nation’s priorities on the aspirations and needs of its people.
