Burkina Faso: Major progress towards the development of rural infrastructure by 2025

In 2025, Burkina Faso will embark on a significant initiative to develop 1,000 kilometers of rural roads across the country, marking a pivotal step in improving infrastructure and driving economic growth.

 

The project aims to connect remote areas, enhancing the mobility of people and the transportation of agricultural goods.

 

It will also boost trade, improve access to essential services like education and healthcare, and contribute to the overall well-being of rural communities.

 

Beyond its economic benefits, this initiative is designed to reduce disparities between urban and rural regions.

 

By linking more localities to major transport routes, Burkina Faso will better integrate into regional trade networks and strengthen its position in sub-regional exchanges.

 

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, this project is part of a broader strategy to modernize the country while reinforcing its sovereignty.

 

By investing in resilient, locally tailored infrastructure, the Burkinabe government is focusing on an inclusive and sustainable development model.
