Burkina Faso: Peace, development and efficient management, the pillars of government action for 2025

Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, presented an ambitious roadmap this Friday before the Transitional Legislative Assembly, addressing the country’s pressing challenges with a clear focus on stability and progress. The plan reflects the government’s commitment to meeting the population’s expectations and shaping a resilient future.

At the forefront of the government’s agenda is the fight against terrorism and the restoration of territorial integrity. Faced with ongoing security threats, the authorities are prioritizing the mobilization of resources to ensure peace and protect the nation.

This initiative underscores the government’s determination to overcome insecurity, a major obstacle to development.

Another key focus is the humanitarian crisis. With thousands of internally displaced people, the government is emphasizing national solidarity to provide essential aid to affected communities and restore dignity to those impacted.

Combating corruption also stands as a pillar of the strategy. By tackling this issue, the government aims to strengthen governance, enhance accountability, and rebuild public trust.

On the social and economic front, the plan prioritizes improving living conditions and investing in human capital. Empowering youth and women through education, healthcare, and employment opportunities is central to the government’s development vision.

Additionally, the roadmap addresses food security and Burkina Faso’s global standing.

The government seeks to achieve agricultural self-sufficiency while advancing the country’s diplomatic influence, highlighting a comprehensive and strategic approach to national development.

This plan represents a bold step forward, aligning with the aspirations of the Burkinabe people and fostering unity amid the challenges, paving the way for a stronger and more prosperous future.
