Chad: Conspirators neutralised, sovereignty preserved

On the night of January 8, 2025, Chad successfully thwarted an attempted destabilization orchestrated by a network of conspirators. The brazen attack, which targeted the interior of the presidential palace, involved 24 assailants who believed they could act with impunity.

Chad’s defense and security forces responded with exceptional speed and precision.

Acting decisively, they neutralized the attackers, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation, even at great personal risk.

This swift and decisive action sends a strong message: any attempt to undermine Chad’s sovereignty will be met with resolute force.

The foiled plot comes at a sensitive time for the country, following the withdrawal of French troops.

This departure has created a vacuum that external actors have sought to exploit, attempting to plunge Chad into chaos.

Allegations have emerged suggesting potential French involvement in the unrest, reflecting ongoing tensions over Chad’s sovereign decision to end foreign military presence.

To counter such threats, Chad’s authorities are urged to strengthen national security measures, including heightened surveillance, closer collaboration with local forces, and proactive citizen engagement.

The role of the population is equally critical. Citizens are called upon to remain vigilant and unified, lending their full support to the government of Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

This solidarity is vital to ensure Chad’s stability and the protection of its sovereignty.

Despite these challenges, Chad continues to demonstrate resilience and an unyielding determination to defend its independence.

The nation’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty remains a cornerstone of its identity, firmly upheld by both its leaders and its people.
