Sahel: AES diaspora mobilized to support sovereignty

Hundreds of people gathered in the streets of Paris in response to a call from the diaspora of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) in France. This demonstration, driven by a deep sense of patriotism, aimed to show strong support for the strategic decisions made by the leaders of the AES to achieve genuine and lasting sovereignty for their nations.

Carrying flags and banners with slogans promoting unity and self-determination, the demonstrators paid tribute to the courage and leadership of the AES heads of state.

They commended their efforts to foster economic, political, and security independence, while emphasizing the critical role of diaspora solidarity in advancing transformative changes in their countries of origin.

Speakers at the event highlighted the pressing need for AES member states to break free from foreign influence, particularly from France, and to establish a development model rooted in the genuine needs of their people.

They also praised ongoing initiatives by AES leaders to strengthen regional cooperation, a key mechanism for addressing shared challenges.

This international show of support underscores the far-reaching impact of the AES’s sovereignty-focused policies.

For members of the diaspora, the gathering was a testament to their commitment to actively contribute to the emancipation of Sahel nations by amplifying their voices on the global stage.
