Football: The draw for the 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations, a symbolic kick-off, will be held on Monday in Rabat

The symbolic kick-off of the 35ᵉ edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be given next Monday at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, where the draw for the final phase will be held, according to the official announcement of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The ceremony, scheduled for 19:00 (GMT+1), will be attended by African football legends, representatives of federations and international media figures.

The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups, paving the way for a competition rich in intensity and emotion. CAF has stressed that this evening will not just be a sporting event, but also a tribute to Moroccan culture, combining sport and art in an exceptional setting.

The Mohammed V Theatre, a symbol of Moroccan heritage, will reflect the elegance and organisational capacity of a country committed to offering an unforgettable edition of the AFCON.

By hosting this major event, Morocco is once again positioning itself as a key player on the African football scene, ready to celebrate the unity and passion that drive this sport across the continent.
