“There are significant opportunities to explore, particularly in the commercial sector. Expanding market access will facilitate trade and benefit our populations,” he stated.

Boosting trade and economic opportunities

Currently, trade exchanges between Burkina Faso and Egypt remain limited. Recognizing this, both governments are keen on revitalizing the sector to create business opportunities for private sector players in both countries.

Expanding exports to meet consumer needs on both sides will be a key focus.

While economic ties are still developing, Burkina Faso and Egypt already collaborate in several critical areas, including security and digital technology.

Strengthening security cooperation

In the fight against terrorism, Egypt has reiterated its unwavering support for Burkina Faso in its efforts to restore peace and security.

This commitment underscores the solidarity between the two nations as they navigate regional security challenges together.
