AES takes major step toward integration with shared Cultural policy

The Alliance of Sahel States (AES) has marked a significant milestone in its integration efforts by adopting a shared cultural policy, officially launched during a ceremony at the Kôrè Cultural Center in Ségou.

Chaired by the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hospitality, and Tourism, this initiative represents a pivotal moment in fostering cultural collaboration among the member states of the AES Confederation.

The primary goal of this agreement is to harmonize cultural actions across the region, ensuring the preservation and promotion of the Sahel’s rich cultural heritage.

It also aims to strengthen ties between cultural and artistic institutions in member countries while facilitating the mobility of artists and their works throughout the region.

Through this policy, authorities hope to highlight local craftsmanship, boost creative industries, and promote cultural tourism within the confederation.

By establishing a robust institutional framework, the signatories have committed to implementing joint cultural projects and ensuring the long-term sustainability of this initiative.

This shared cultural policy underscores the AES’s ambition to reinforce regional cultural identity and elevate Sahelian cultures on the global stage.

It represents a significant step forward in building unity within the Sahel while celebrating the diversity and richness of its heritage.

This move not only strengthens regional ties but also positions the AES as a beacon of cultural collaboration and innovation.
