U-20 AFCON Groups redrawn after host change

The CAF reconducted the U20 Africa Cup of Nations draw on Sunday after Egypt replaced Côte d’Ivoire as hosts. Defending champions Senegal were placed in Group C alongside DR Congo—repeating their 2026 World Cup qualifier clash—plus Ghana and Central Africa.

Group B features North African rivals Morocco and Tunisia, who took Côte d’Ivoire’s slot, alongside Nigeria and Kenya.

Hosts Egypt will face South Africa, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania in Group A, mirroring their U17 AFCON encounter in Morocco. The tournament runs from April 26 to May 18.
