Burkina Faso: Disinformation, a devious weapon used by stateless people and their imperialist masters

In a context marked by numerous attempts at destabilisation, Burkina Faso is facing a new form of threat: disinformation skilfully orchestrated by stateless people and their imperialist masters.

These campaigns, often invisible at first glance, are based on well-oiled strategies designed to manipulate public opinion, sow confusion and weaken national cohesion.

Today, these attacks are becoming increasingly devious. Local henchmen usurp the identity of public figures, heads of institutions or even official pages to spread totally fabricated information.

Their methods are constantly evolving: fake video montages, false press releases, false alerts… nothing is left to chance.

The aim is to weaken the State, undermine confidence between citizens and their institutions, and create a climate of mistrust conducive to instability.

In the face of this information war, citizen vigilance is the first line of defence.

The people of Burkina Faso must remain united, lucid and responsible. It is imperative to rely only on official channels: ministry websites, verified pages of public institutions and statements by the relevant authorities.
