Football/ PSG thrash Real Madrid 4-0: Dembélé shines, Lyon Saved

The European press is unanimous: PSG have made a powerful statement. By crushing Real Madrid 4-0, the Parisian club confirmed its status as a dominant force in European football. With a brace from Fabián Ruiz and goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Gonçalo Ramos, PSG delivered a historic performance.

This triumph over a star-studded Real side featuring Mbappé, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham marks a turning point in the season. French and Spanish media alike hailed the performance, with Barcelona-based Sport calling it a “global humiliation” for their Madrid rivals.

Amidst this glittering display, Ousmane Dembélé stole the spotlight. Back in the starting eleven, the French international was involved in three of the four goals. He scored, assisted, and initiated crucial plays—living up to the expectations now placed on him. Head coach Luis Enrique already regards him as the best player of the season. With such consistency, Dembélé has become a serious contender for the Ballon d’Or.

Meanwhile, in Lyon, relief has replaced anxiety. After weeks of uncertainty, OL received confirmation that the club will remain in Ligue 1 next season. This announcement brought a wave of optimism to fans and the club’s management. The good news coincides with Michele Kang’s arrival as head of the men’s team. As the first woman to lead a Ligue 1 club, Kang has already achieved her first major success—ensuring Lyon’s survival in France’s top flight.
