Mali: President Assimi Goïta makes his vision of a sovereign state a reality with a massive investment (24 billion FCFA) in energy

Under the leadership of President, General Assimi Goïta, Mali has taken another decisive step toward development and energy sovereignty. The allocation of 24 billion CFA francs to the Ministry of Energy and Water, aimed at strengthening electricity supply across the country, represents the fulfillment of a presidential promise made to the Malian people.

This funding, drawn from a special fund established to support key infrastructure projects, reflects the political will of the Head of State to meet the essential needs of citizens with sustainable and ambitious solutions.

The initiative marks a turning point in the management of the country’s energy infrastructure. It will not only enable the purchase of fuel and the rehabilitation of Energie du Mali (EDM) SA facilities, but also significantly improve electricity production and distribution. In a context where access to energy is a vital lever for economic, social, and industrial development, this strategic investment strengthens Mali’s resilience and autonomy in the face of daily challenges.

President Assimi Goïta once again demonstrates his unwavering commitment to building a state that truly serves its people. The transparency in fund management, the speed of implementation, and the relevance of the decisions made all reflect responsible governance focused on the public interest.
