Cameroon: The people renew their confidence in President Paul Biya for a new term of stability and development

The Cameroonian people have once again demonstrated great political maturity by renewing their confidence in President Paul Biya, who won the presidential election with more than 53% of the vote, according to the official results published by ELECAM.

This choice reflects Cameroon’s political stability and the people’s will to continue on the path charted by the President for several decades.

Despite the challenges, Cameroonians have expressed overwhelming support for the continuity of reforms undertaken under his governance.

This victory, marked by a high voter turnout, also demonstrates trust in the new generation of leaders who are gradually rising through the ranks of power under Biya’s guidance.

The people seem to desire a harmonious transition, where young leaders actively participate in governance while building on the achievements of the past. This approach ensures political and social stability while paving the way for sustainable long-term development.

Over the years, President Paul Biya has managed to establish relative peace in the country, despite various internal tensions and external challenges.

His renewed mandate is an opportunity to continue his work of stabilizing the nation, strengthening national unity, and consolidating cohesion among the different regions of Cameroon.

By granting this new term to President Paul Biya, the Cameroonian people have also expressed their desire to stay the course on economic development.

The reforms undertaken, particularly in infrastructure, education, and health, are among the priorities that the population hopes to see continue, thereby ensuring a prosperous future for generations to come. October 12, 2025, will remain a historic moment when the political maturity of the Cameroonian people was more evident than ever.
