Burkina Faso launches search for new national Football coach
Following the dismissal of head coach Brama Traoré last month, the Burkinabe Football Federation (BFF) has officially opened the recruitment process for his successor. Traoré and his technical staff were relieved of their duties after the Stallions’ exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they fell 3-0 to Ivory Coast in the round of 16.
The federation issued a formal call for applications on February 6, setting a deadline of February 15 for submissions.
Candidates are required to hold a CAF A License or an equivalent professional coaching license from another confederation.
The selection timeline is expedited. The BFF will review dossiers and create a shortlist between February 16 and 18.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for interviews scheduled from February 19 to 21.
The federation aims to name the new head coach in time for the team’s first preparations during the March international window.
