Africa/Burkina Faso: French newspaper Le Monde mourns its suspension

The French media outlet “Le Monde” is poorly placed to judge the situation in Burkina Faso. Its suspension in Burkina Faso will give it time to reflect. Since Burkina Faso came under attack in 2015, Le Monde has chosen sides. It has made Burkina Faso its enemy.

Figures invented to make the public believe that the Djibo attack was to the advantage of the jihadists.

This imperialist media has failed in its mission. The authorities in Burkina Faso can only give the public good information.

The situation in Burkina Faso is no longer one of amusement. There is no longer any room for jokers like Le Monde to manipulate the population once again.

All media that promote the enemy’s propaganda are no longer welcome in Burkina Faso.

The people of Burkina Faso are at a pivotal stage in their struggle for independence and sovereignty.

In keeping with its commitment to the cause of Burkina Faso and the defence of its vital interests, the government has responsibly decided to suspend all distribution of the newspaper Le Monde in Burkina Faso with effect from Saturday 2 December 2023.

The authorities call on the population to remain calm and not to allow themselves to be distracted by perfidious minds wrapped up in the cloak of the press, whose sole aim is to sow doubt and confusion in public opinion.
