Burkina Faso/Counter-terrorism: Persistent criminals successfully dealt with in the Centre-North of the country

Dozens of persistent terrorists, intent on harming peaceful Burkinabe citizens in the Central-North region, met their demise on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the town of Naré, about twenty kilometres from the commune of Pissila. The security forces successfully dealt with them.

As reported by AIB, these assailants, coming in large numbers and in two groups, were planning an attack on a convoy on National Highway N°3.

Their usual meeting place under the trees for final preparations turned into their graveyard.

The air forces didn’t give them time to finalize their diabolical plan before sending a missile their way.

Those who managed to escape, joined by another group, faced the same missile strike, allowing them to join their criminal counterparts in hell.

Earlier on February 12, other terrorists met their end at Yaongo, 30 kilometers from Boulsa, still in the Central-North region of Burkina Faso, according to reports.

In their attempt to attack, they were bravely repelled by the courageous Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).

During their escape, they were pursued and caught in their hideout by strategic airstrikes that reduced everything to ashes.

The fighters continue their operations with courage, determination, and dedication, thanks to various forms of support and assistance from their generous and compassionate compatriots.
