Young Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz clinched victory at the Indian Wells Masters 1000 by defeating Daniil Medvedev in an enthralling final, winning with a score of 7-6, 6-1.

Alcaraz’s triumph, at just 20 years old, marks his second consecutive title at Indian Wells and his first major win of 2024, further solidifying his reputation as one of tennis’s rising stars.

Despite Novak Djokovic’s early exit from the tournament, he maintains his position as the world number one in the ATP rankings, holding a significant lead over Alcaraz.

Alcaraz’s remarkable achievements include previous victories at the US Open 2022 and Wimbledon 2023.

Meanwhile, on the women’s side, Iga Swiatek showcased her dominance throughout the tournament, culminating in a commanding straight-sets victory over Maria Sakkari in the final.
