Anthony Martial announces departure from Manchester United after nine seasons

Anthony Martial has decided to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract this summer after nine seasons with the club. The French forward officially announced his departure on Monday, although his next destination remains unknown.

Martial, who transferred from AS Monaco for €60 million in 2015, struggled with injuries and inconsistency during his time at Old Trafford.

Despite a contract extension option, the 28-year-old has confirmed he will not stay with the club.

This season, Martial made only two goals in 19 appearances, totalling 629 minutes across all competitions.

On Instagram, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans, teammates, and staff, saying, «After nine incredible years, it’s time for me to turn a new page in my career. Your songs, support, and love for the club will remain in my heart forever».

Martial played 317 matches and scored 90 goals during his tenure at Manchester United.
