Portugal’s Resilience secures narrow victory over Czech Republic in Euros clash

In a thrilling European Championship clash, Portugal narrowly defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in Leipzig, maintaining their perfect record.

Cristiano Ronaldo, extending his record with a sixth Euros appearance, couldn’t score despite multiple attempts, including a disallowed goal due to offside.

Czech player Lukas Provod scored first, but an own goal by Robin Hranac and a winner by Francisco Conceicao, son of former international Sergio Conceicao, secured Portugal’s victory.

Portugal coach Roberto Martinez praised his team’s unity and resilience, while midfielder Vitinha acknowledged the emotional and strategic challenges.

Czech scorer Provod expressed frustration over the narrow defeat, commending his team’s hard work and solid defense.

Portugal supporters, undeterred by rain, fervently backed their team, celebrating Ronaldo and showing high spirits.
