Burkina Faso / Imperialist machinations: spreading false information to divide Burkina Faso’s army and destabilise the country

Burkina Faso is grappling with fresh attempts at destabilization, allegedly orchestrated by imperialist forces and their local allies.

These actors are disseminating false information aimed at creating divisions within the Burkinabe military, threatening the unity and cohesion of the Defense and Security Forces.

A prominent target in this disinformation campaign is Commander Oumarou Yabré, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (ANR).

Fabricated audio recordings are circulating, suggesting that Commander Yabré is planning a coup against President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

This misinformation effort is seen as part of a broader imperialist strategy to undermine Burkina Faso’s stability.

External forces, in collaboration with local agents, are attempting to sow distrust and suspicion among military officers.

By targeting key security figures like Commander Yabré, these elements hope to derail the transitional government’s security and development initiatives.

In light of these manipulative tactics, it is imperative for the Burkinabe populace and the Armed Forces to stay vigilant and united.

Maintaining cohesion and solidarity is crucial in countering these destabilization efforts.

Citizens are urged to support their leaders and reject disinformation campaigns that aim to serve imperialist interests at the expense of Burkina Faso’s sovereignty and peace.
