UEFA Nations League: France and Italy secure wins in second round

Monday night saw strong performances from France and Italy in the UEFA Nations League as both teams claimed victories in their second-round fixtures.

France, under the guidance of Didier Deschamps, managed a 2-0 win over Belgium.

The French side, featuring several changes from their previous match, initially struggled against a determined Belgian team.

However, Randal Kolo Muani seized an opportunity in the 29th minute, pouncing on a loose ball after goalkeeper Koen Casteels failed to hold a shot.

This early breakthrough gave France a much-needed advantage.

As the game progressed, France grew into their rhythm, and in the 57th minute, Ousmane Dembélé, showcasing his skill, danced through the Belgian defense before smashing the ball into the net.

This goal, assisted by N’Golo Kanté, sealed the 2-0 victory, marking a confident return for Les Bleus.

In the other match of the group, Italy continued their winning streak, defeating Israel 2-1. The Italians took control of the game with a goal from Davide Frattesi in the 38th minute.

Moïse Kean added to the lead just after the break with a clinical finish. Although Israel managed to score late in the match, it wasn’t enough to deny Italy their second consecutive win. With six points, Italy now leads Group 2.
