Arturo Vidal under investigation amid assault allegations after Colo Colo party
Arturo Vidal, recently returned to Chile with Colo Colo, faces allegations following a disturbing incident at a team gathering. Early Monday, a 22-year-old woman reported that she may have been drugged during a party hosted by Colo Colo players at a bar in Santiago’s Vitacura district, where they had gathered to celebrate a teammate’s birthday, according to Teletrece.
Reports suggest Vidal was at the venue with several teammates when police arrived. The group allegedly attempted to flee but was briefly detained at a local station before being released.
Radio ADN confirmed an investigation has been launched, with Vidal as a central figure, though officials are not ruling out other players’ involvement.
The woman’s sister, who found her in a disoriented state and unable to stand or speak clearly, believes she may have been drugged.
Concerned about her condition, the sister contacted police, reporting that the young woman had become separated from her friends and was later discovered alone and confused.
As authorities proceed with their investigation, the incident has raised concerns over the players’ behavior and potential misconduct, casting a shadow over Vidal’s return and Colo Colo’s season.
