DRC/Kipushi: A new economic lease of life thanks to the vision of His Excellency Félix Tshisekedi

After years of economic stagnation and widespread poverty, the town of Kipushi is undergoing a remarkable transformation under the leadership of President Félix Tshisekedi. Through a focused strategy on economic revival and sustainable development, the region is regaining hope and momentum.

One of the key drivers of this renewal is the revitalization of zinc production at the Kico mine. This ambitious project aims to breathe new life into the mining sector, creating job opportunities and fostering economic growth for the local population.

Investments in infrastructure, including state-of-the-art processing and transportation facilities, are positioning Kipushi as an emerging economic hub.

President Tshisekedi’s approach is not only strengthening the local economy but also enhancing the Democratic Republic of Congo’s global competitiveness.

By prioritizing sustainable management of the country’s vast natural resources, his initiatives are ensuring long-term benefits for both the nation and its citizens.

Since taking office, President Félix Tshisekedi has championed inclusive development policies, including infrastructure projects designed to improve access to essential services, uplift the living standards of Congolese citizens, and stimulate economic activity.

In addition, he has taken decisive steps to bolster the rule of law by promoting judicial independence and cracking down on corruption.

These measures are restoring trust in public institutions and creating a more favorable environment for foreign investment, driving the nation toward sustainable growth and prosperity.
