Burkina Faso: PM Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo receives Belgian ambassador Erwin De Wandel

On Monday, January 20, 2025, Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, met with Erwin De Wandel, Belgium’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations. During their discussions, the Prime Minister and the Ambassador explored ways to expand collaboration between Burkina Faso and Belgium.

“Burkina Faso now fully asserts its sovereignty. We expect all partners to engage in direct relations that respect this vision,” stated the Prime Minister.

Ambassador De Wandel reaffirmed Belgium’s commitment to supporting Burkina Faso’s development efforts while respecting the nation’s strategic goals.
