Football/ Manchester City set for major squad overhaul this summer

Manchester City is gearing up for a significant shakeup ahead of the 2024-2025 season, with several key players potentially leaving the club. According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, up to 10 players could depart, marking a major transition for the reigning Premier League champions.

Among the notable names linked with exits are Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, and even Jack Grealish, as the club looks to refresh its squad. While Bernardo Silva has expressed his desire to stay and see out his contract, others may not be as fortunate.

The overhaul also includes players with limited playing time whose contracts are nearing expiration.

This restructuring reflects City’s strategy to remain competitive while rejuvenating the team. Manager Pep Guardiola is known for his ability to rebuild squads seamlessly, and this summer could see another wave of new talent arriving at the Etihad Stadium.

As Manchester City prepares to bid farewell to some of its stars, fans can expect a transformed lineup next season.

The club’s ability to balance continuity and change will be crucial as it aims to maintain its dominance in English and European football.
