Togo : Promoting local entrepreneurship, the CCIT opens its doors to economic players

On Friday, May 16, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo (CCI-Togo) held a nationwide open house event simultaneously in Lomé and across the country’s economic regions. Aimed at business operators, young entrepreneurs, and the general public, the initiative sought to raise awareness about the institution’s missions, services, and projects.

The day’s agenda included informative workshops on CCI-Togo’s services, a local product exhibition, and a networking session bringing together business leaders, project initiators, and institutional partners. These activities were designed to foster dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and encourage entrepreneurship at the national level.

For several years now, CCI-Togo has been stepping up its support for businesses and entrepreneurs. “In response to the growing need for information and dialogue, this open house reflects our commitment to listening to economic operators, addressing their needs, and reinforcing our role as a key partner in private sector development”, said José Kwassi Symenouh, President of CCI-Togo.

Feou Luciano, Director General for Private Sector Development and representative of the Minister of Trade, praised the initiative: “This event brings the Chamber closer to economic actors and promotes a better understanding of its mission, thereby strengthening trust between the public and private sectors.”

Founded in 1921, CCI-Togo plays a central role in supporting businesses. In recent years, it has increased its focus on training, innovation support, and facilitating trade. By promoting entrepreneurship and highlighting local initiatives, it actively contributes to inclusive economic growth.

This open house is part of CCI-Togo’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its regional presence and impact, further cementing its role as a key partner and advocate for the private sector.
