Sport/ Faith Cherotich shines again with Diamond League Triumph in Zurich

Faith Cherotich confirmed once again her supremacy in the women’s 3,000 m steeplechase by defending her title at the Zurich Diamond League meeting on Thursday. The young Kenyan star delivered another brilliant performance, crossing the finish line in 8:57.2 to secure victory in the Swiss city. At just 21 years old, Cherotich continues to establish herself as one of the most promising talents in global athletics, combining consistency with a growing list of achievements.

Her triumph in Zurich comes only a few months after a standout performance in Oslo last June, where she set a new record and reaffirmed her rising dominance on the international stage. With her smooth technique, explosive acceleration, and remarkable endurance, Cherotich has shown she has the tools not only to dominate her specialty but also to inspire a new generation of athletes in Kenya and beyond.

The Diamond League title further strengthens her status as the reigning queen of the steeplechase, a crown she wears with confidence and determination. At a time when the discipline is becoming increasingly competitive, Faith Cherotich’s ability to maintain her winning streak highlights both her immense talent and her unwavering mental strength. For now, the steeplechase throne clearly belongs to her.
