Burkina Faso launches “Alerte-BCLCC” platform to combat Cybercrime

In line with President Ibrahim Traoré’s vision for enhanced national security, the Minister of Security, Mahamadou SANA, has intensified efforts to protect citizens from modern threats. On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Minister SANA officially launched the “Alerte-BCLCC” platform, a groundbreaking tool designed to empower citizens in the fight against cybercrime.

Accessible online and via a mobile app at alerte.bclcc.gov.bf, the platform enables users to securely report incidents such as disinformation, online scams, and terrorism-related content.

During the launch ceremony, Commander Bantida Samire YONI of the Central Brigade for Combating Cybercrime (BCLCC) emphasized the platform’s role in bridging the gap between citizens and security forces.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, “Alerte-BCLCC” represents a strategic leap forward, enhancing intervention efficiency and bolstering the analytical capabilities of specialized units.

Minister SANA praised the initiative, describing it as a decisive step toward a safer and more secure digital space.

Recognizing that combating cybercrime requires active citizen participation, Minister SANA urged the public to embrace the platform by reporting any suspicious activities.

This initiative underscores his unwavering commitment to safeguarding Burkina Faso’s citizens, aligning with President Traoré’s broader security agenda. Through “Alerte-BCLCC,” the government aims to foster a collaborative approach to cybersecurity, ensuring a safer future for all.
