Mali’s transition President Assimi Goïta demonstrates commitment to the vulnerable

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, Mali’s Transition President, General Assimi Goïta, reaffirmed his dedication to the well-being of the Malian people by distributing food kits to underprivileged families in Bamako’s communes III and IV.
This initiative, part of the annual Ramadan Operation, aims to support the most vulnerable during the holy month.
This year, the program was expanded, with 150 food kits distributed compared to 100 in the previous year.
Each kit contained essential items such as rice, millet, sugar, and cooking oil to help families meet their basic needs.
Local authorities and community members expressed their gratitude during the ceremony, praising President Goïta’s efforts to assist the less fortunate and praying for peace and stability in Mali.
Recipients, visibly moved, thanked the President for his compassion and leadership. For many, this gesture underscored Goïta’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by ordinary Malians.
The initiative not only highlights the importance of solidarity but also ensures that numerous families can observe Ramadan with dignity and without the burden of food insecurity.
Through such actions, President Goïta continues to strengthen the bond between the government and the people.
