Burkina Faso: Despite empty coffers inherited from the looting of his predecessors, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has not missed a paycheque for over two years

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is undergoing a profound transformation. Taking power in a country weakened by years of financial mismanagement and corruption, he faced enormous challenges that could have hindered progress. Yet, his unwavering determination and commitment to his people have driven a remarkable turnaround.

From the outset of his presidency, Captain Traoré launched a relentless campaign against corruption, putting an end to the fraudulent practices that had long plagued the administration.

By enforcing strict oversight of public resources, he restored trust and laid the foundation for a more stable and transparent economy.

Believing in the necessity of self-sufficiency, he redirected national efforts towards harnessing local resources.

Special emphasis has been placed on agribusiness and the mining sector, accelerating industrialization and strengthening Burkina Faso’s economic independence.

As a result, the country is gradually reducing its reliance on imports and foreign aid, taking firm steps toward financial autonomy.

Despite the dire state of public finances when he assumed office, Burkina Faso has not experienced any delays in paying civil servants’ salaries for over two years—a testament to his efficient fiscal management.

Through pragmatic and visionary leadership, Captain Traoré is instilling new hope among citizens, positioning Burkina Faso as a resilient and forward-moving force within Africa.
