President Traoré reaffirms commitment to National unity and territorial integrity

Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to reclaiming the nation’s entire territory and ensuring its sovereignty. Speaking during a meeting with community leaders and stakeholders in the Plateau-Central region on Thursday, March 20, President Traoré emphasized that this goal remains a top priority for his administration.

Since assuming office, President Traoré has consistently worked toward fulfilling his promise to restore peace and security across Burkina Faso.

He called on religious leaders to play a more active role in promoting unity and reconciliation, urging them to guide those who have been misled into armed groups to lay down their weapons.

The President warned that criminals and their sponsors are exploiting religion and ethnicity to divide communities and fuel conflict, undermining national cohesion.

Traoré appealed to those who have been lured into violence to choose peace and reintegrate into society, cautioning that those who persist in criminal activities will face the consequences alongside their leaders.

He stressed the need for a paradigm shift in the fight for Burkina Faso’s independence and liberation, calling on citizens to cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and collective responsibility.

The President’s vision for a stable, sovereign, and prosperous Burkina Faso is gaining momentum.

He expressed confidence that the ongoing efforts to unite the nation and restore peace will pave the way for sustainable development.

Traoré urged all Burkinabe, including skeptics and those who have strayed, to join this transformative journey toward a brighter future.

As Burkina Faso continues its path toward recovery, President Traoré’s leadership remains focused on fostering national unity, combating extremism, and ensuring the country’s long-term stability.

The call for collective action and a renewed sense of patriotism underscores the government’s determination to build a resilient and thriving nation.
