Togo Chamber of Commerce and Junior Enterprises Network forge strategic partnership to empower young entrepreneurs

In a significant move to bolster Togo’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Togo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-Togo) and the Togo Junior Enterprises Cooperation (CJET) signed a landmark cooperation agreement today.

The memorandum of understanding, signed by CCI-Togo President José Symenouh and CJET President Médissa Sama, establishes a formal framework to support, promote, and nurture emerging businesses during their critical startup phase.

Key features of the partnership

This strategic alliance primarily targets young enterprises under ten years old. The CCI-Togo will provide financial support and facilitate access to essential growth resources, market information, and business opportunities. “Our goal is to help these young companies scale up and become more competitive,” stated Symenouh, announcing upcoming capacity-building workshops and tailored mentorship programs designed to address entrepreneurs’ specific needs.

For its part, the CJET plans to mobilize over 1,000 young businesses to benefit from this support system.

“This agreement goes beyond bureaucratic formalities—it’s a foundational commitment sending a powerful message to our generation of entrepreneurs,” emphasized Sama, hailing the initiative as a transformative step for Togo’s entrepreneurial development.

Expected impact

The collaboration aims to:

  • Strengthen job creation and innovation
  • Enhance the national startup ecosystem
  • Provide practical tools for business sustainability and expansion

By combining institutional resources with youth-driven enterprise networks, this partnership offers concrete solutions to the challenges faced by Togo’s emerging businesses, positioning them for long-term success in an increasingly competitive market.
