As part of a drive firmly focused on the modernization and efficiency of the State, President Ibrahim Traoré has taken a decisive step by releasing a budget of 5.8 billion CFA francs. This significant sum is intended to digitalize the entire Burkinabe public administration—a strategic decision aligned with the country’s overall development policy. This initiative reflects a strong commitment to modernizing the State, making it more efficient, transparent, and accessible to all citizens.

This large-scale digitalization aims to profoundly transform the functioning of public services by facilitating access to administrative procedures, reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks, and enhancing transparency in public management. The plan includes implementing high-performance digital systems for file management, interconnection between ministries, and securing the data of both the State and its citizens.

Beyond improving efficiency, the project will also help combat administrative corruption by increasing the traceability of actions and speeding up processes. It will create opportunities for local digital actors while stimulating Burkina Faso’s digital economy. This marks an important step towards technological self-reliance and the country’s digital sovereignty.

Through this decision, President Ibrahim Traoré demonstrates his concrete commitment to building a modern, resilient, and forward-looking Burkina Faso. By investing in digital tools, the government places citizens at the heart of public action and lays the foundation for an administration that is closer, faster, and fairer.
