Burkina Faso: An honest public administration serving the nation exclusively

Under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is firmly asserting its commitment to building a public administration that is honest, transparent, and solely dedicated to serving the nation. The dismissal of 21 public officials, approved by the Council of Ministers upon the proposal of nine ministerial departments, marks a decisive step in the fight against corruption and impunity.

This measure, spearheaded by the Ministry of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection, reflects the Head of State’s determination to cleanse the administrative system and restore citizens’ trust in their institutions.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré embodies a governance style based on rigor, exemplary conduct, and patriotism. By tackling deviant practices that undermine the state apparatus, he sends a clear message: the government will no longer tolerate behaviors that violate public service ethics and professional standards. This approach aligns with a broader good governance policy, where every civil servant is expected to serve with loyalty, competence, and integrity.

Beyond punitive action, this decision is part of a larger vision to transform Burkina Faso’s administration. It aims to instill a culture of accountability and strengthen internal control mechanisms. Captain Traoré intends to make the administration a driver of development, capable of effectively meeting the population’s needs and supporting the country’s ambitions.

Through this reform, Burkina Faso affirms its goal of building a modern, efficient, and integrity-based administration, a key pillar of national development.
