Footbal/ Real Madrid: The future of Endrick in doubt as father fuels speculation

Despite public assurances from coach Xabi Alonso about the intense competition for places at Real Madrid, young Brazilian striker Endrick is reportedly seeking a loan move to secure more playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

While Alonso has emphasized that all players, including Endrick, Gonzalo, and Brahim, must be ready to contribute, the 19-year-old phenom appears to prioritize regular minutes. He has been linked with a potential loan to clubs like Olympique de Marseille.

The situation intensified when the father of Endrick, Douglas Sousa, commented on a social media post speculating about a return to his former club, Palmeiras. He stated that Palmeiras “should make a proposal, a project,” a remark that ignited hope among the Brazilian club’s supporters.

This comes shortly after fellow Brazilian Vitor Roque returned to his homeland following a difficult stint at Barcelona.

The question now is whether Endrick will follow a similar path or find a European club that can guarantee the crucial playing time he needs to solidify his spot for the World Cup.
