Mali Government restructures financial services and strengthens diplomacy
At its weekly meeting on October 29, 2025, Mali’s Council of Ministers, chaired by Transition President General Assimi Goïta, approved a key decree to reorganize the regional and sub-regional services of the Treasury and Public Accounting Directorate. This five-year structural reform aims to optimize the country’s financial management.
In a significant diplomatic move, the council also confirmed a series of new appointments, naming inspectors and consular advisors to various embassies worldwide. This reshuffle is intended to strengthen Mali’s international representation.

Other agenda items included addressing a management crisis at the “Les Lutins” community school, for which a provisional committee was established.
The government also confirmed the participation of Mali in upcoming international forums, including an Islamic Cooperation conference and a global zero-waste summit.
Concluding the session, the Health Minister provided an update on epidemic control, noting a decline in dengue cases but emphasizing the continued need for preventive measures.
The council reaffirmed its dual commitment to public health and ongoing socio-economic reforms.
