The Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Aboubakar Nacanabo, chaired on March 13, 2026, the second session of the consultation framework with coordinators of development projects and programs under his department. This strategic meeting reflects a firm commitment to strengthening public governance through rigor, accountability, and asserted economic patriotism, in perfect alignment with the vision of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The current portfolio of the ministry, comprising fourteen projects and programs, represents a total investment of over 454 billion FCFA, reflecting the scale of ambitions carried by the department.
Facing challenges of sovereignty and public spending efficiency, the minister emphasized the need for exemplary project execution, in perfect coherence with the national priorities defined in the RELANCE National Development Plan.
For the year 2026, a substantial allocation of 156 billion FCFA has been mobilized through the Annual Work Plan and Budget (PTBA).
These resources demonstrate the government’s sustained commitment to development and improving living conditions for the population.
The minister stressed the necessity of transforming these credits into tangible and measurable results on the ground.
Ongoing programs cover strategic sectors such as sustainable water management, territorial resilience, and job creation, particularly for youth.
These actions are fully in line with the dynamic of food sovereignty championed by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso.
