Togo: Lomé exports to ECOWAS countries reach an impressive 52.968 billion euros

In March 2024, Togo’s exports to the member states of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) reached a remarkable 52.968 billion FCFA, as per the data released by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic and Demographic Studies (INSEED).

This represents a substantial 73% increase from the 30.5 billion FCFA recorded in February 2024.

Leading Togo’s trade partners within ECOWAS is Côte d’Ivoire, which received nearly 20 billion FCFA worth of exports from Togo.

This highlights Côte d’Ivoire’s crucial role as Togo’s top customer in the region.

The significant rise in exports underscores the growing strength of intra-regional economic exchanges and reflects the vibrant commercial activity of Togo.

Expanding trade partnerships within ECOWAS and strengthening economic ties with countries such as Côte d’Ivoire and the members of the Sahel States Alliance (AES) are pivotal for Togo’s economic growth.

March 2024 saw an outstanding performance in Togo’s exports to ECOWAS, totaling almost 53 billion FCFA.

This upward trend in exports is a positive sign for Togo’s economy and its regional integration efforts.
